Individual Coaching
Coaching, according to the International Coach Federation, is a "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."
We subscribe to that definition, but with a twist.
Like most coaches, we collaborate with you to assess your current situation, determine coaching objectives, and develop a customized, results-oriented learning and action plan. We blend inquiry and advocacy as you undertake the actions necessary for realizing your goals. And, like most coaches, we often use assessments and stakeholder interviews to ensure that our work is aligned with your personal, professional, and organizational needs.
But, there end the similarities with most other coaches. At Nilara Associates, we consciously act as a catalyst for deepened awareness of your mindset — the underlying beliefs, attitudes, preferences, and blind spots that drive your actions. As you become more aware of your mindset — and its impact on your actions — we work together to assess which parts serve and which parts deter you in achieving your desired results. We then co-design skill-building practices that intentionally shift your mindset to produce new possibilities for actions that better serve you.
Throughout it all, we support and challenge you as you deepen your awareness, shift your mindset, and undertake new practices. As a result of our work together, you not only achieve your specific coaching goals, you also develop a lifelong capacity to consciously create results that are meaningful to you.
